Rowan class visit to Braunston Marina

On Tuesday 23rd May the children in Rowan class enjoyed a day out at Braunston Marina, many thanks to the Canal & River Trust who organised the event.

The children spent the day doing various activities led by the Canal & River Trust explorers including enjoying a canal boat trip, learning about the history of their local canal and the wildlife that lives there including a canal side walk, canal boat tour, water safety and 'build a canal' lessons.

The children saw different types of wildlife during the day including swans and their cygnets in the canal, one cygnet was riding on it's mother's back!

Here are some of the photos taken during the day:

Kilsby School May Fayre

On Sunday 21st May it was Kilsby School May Fayre!

The children took part in  maypole dancing, there were displays of Ta Kwon Do, classic cars, there was a BBQ, a beer tent, lots of different stalls selling plants, bric a brac, etc.  but the highlight of the afternoon was the crowning of this year's May Queen and May King, accompanied by their Attendants.

The afternoon was a great success, the weather was perfect and we hope everyone had a good time!  Here are some photos taken of the May King, May Queen and their Attendants:

Forest School

Wednesday 17th May 2017

Today it poured with rain but that didn't stop the children enjoying their Forest School Club at lunchtime!

They ate their lunch under cover in 'Oak' the new outdoor classroom.  They played in the rain, turned their cuttings of wood into necklaces, decorated them and had a delicious cup of hot chocolate each!

Here are some photos:

Ofsted Inspection

We are delighted with the outcome of our recent Ofsted Inspection which rated our school at 'Good' in all aspects.

A very big well done to all the staff and also to the children who behaved impeccably as always, and a huge thank you to parents for being so supportive.  We are sure you must be as delighted as we are.

You can view a copy of the report on our website click on 'Our School' on the main homepage, and select 'Ofsted & SIAMS Inspections' in the drop down menu.
