Ancient Egyptian Day

Today, Monday 24th April,  the children in Maple class are enjoying an Egyptian day.

Some of the children came to school dressed as Ancient Egyptians, their costumes were brilliant!   This morning they have been making headdresses and collars, finding out all about pyramids and even done some Egyptian dancing!  This afternoon there will be more fun activities!  We have taken a few photos during the morning:

Victorian Day

On Tuesday 18th April the children in Cherry class came to school to find Mrs Sensecall and Mrs Connolly dressed in Victorian costumes!  They were going to spend a day in a Victorian classroom!  The children had to write with chalks on slate (black paper) and they had to stand up every time an adult entered the room and greet them, saying e.g. "Good morning Mrs Evans!" It has been a very interesting morning so far and the children have learnt a lot about Victorian times.
