Forest School Club

This week we enjoyed sitting and eating our lunch around the fire. We also tried using secateurs and a knife for the first time to make the perfect marshmallow roasting sticks. We then had to try them out of course!

Children in Need

On Friday 18th November all the children and staff came to school wearing something spotty and brought a donation towards the 'Children in Need' appeal.  At break time children bought cakes and the money collected again was collected to go to 'Children in Need.'

Thank you to all parents for their donations, we raised a grand total of £152.22 which is fantastic for a small school like ours!

Here are some of the photographs taken:

Two Minutes Silence for Remembrance Day

On the morning of Friday 11th November 2016 all the staff and children of Kilsby School took a short walk to St Faith's Church, Kilsby.  On their way to the church they admired the poppies they had made, (as well as other groups from the village),  that have been used to decorate the walk to the church and inside the churchyard.  It was a real picture to see!

At 11.00am they stood beside the War Memorial in the churchyard of St Faith's for a 2 minute silence during which they remembered all those who fought and lost their lives for us.

All the children in the school have been making some beautiful poppies to decorate the path and churchyard at St Faith's Church, Kilsby in preparation for Remembrance Day on Friday 11th November.  On Friday 11th November the all the children and staff will hold a 2 minute silence in the churchyard beside the war memorial

The poppies look absolutely wonderful  the children took great care in making them out of clay, then carefully painted them, the end results look superb.  Take a look at the photographs below:
