Kilsby Dance Group

On Monday 25th January the girls of Kilsby Dance Group performed their dance routine (which they performed at the Regional Heats of the Great British Dance Off in Birmingham) last week to some of the parents in a short assembly.  Here are a few photographs:

Languages Day

On Friday 22nd January the children of Kilsby School enjoyed a whole day on holiday at school!

They came to school dressed in their sunhats, sunglasses and holiday clothes, arriving at Kilsby Airport in time to catch their flights to four different countries: Poland, Mexico, Greece and Slovakia!  Each classroom was one of the countries, and the children visited each 'country' in turn where they learnt a lot of interesting facts about that country, a few basic words of the language, tasted some of the traditional food, and lots more!  It was a very enjoyable, successful day!    Here are some of the photos of what went on:

Kilsby Dance Group

We are very proud of  Kilsby Dance Group!

They took part in the Regional heats of the Great British Dance Off on Wednesday 20th January 2016 at the New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham!   What an experience!  The competition involved a lot of other primary schools in the region, many from schools a lot bigger than Kilsby.

Although our girls were not placed in the top 4, we are very proud of them for working and practising so hard for the competition.  It was an exciting day for them all, they had a dressing room and danced their routine on stage in front of an audience!  A special mention of thanks also to Miss Howard who brilliantly choreographed the dance and put in many hours helping the girls perfect their dance routine.  We thought they were amazing!!
